bio Alex Powers is an American stand-up comedian, actress, and writer from Baltimore, MD. After her first appearance on stage at The Baltimore Comedy Factory in 2007, Alex's comedy career quickly took off. She has performed at a wide range of venues, from Gotham Comedy Club in New York City to the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, CA. She has opened regularly for Carlos Mencia (Comedy Central, HBO) and the hilarious Pablo Francisco (MADtv, The Tonight Show) in comedy clubs all over North America, and has performed with the likes of Bill Burr, Donnell Rawlings, and Maria Bamford to name a few. Alex moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2012 and now resides there with her dog and cat. After starring in several short films and web series, she began her formal acting training with Los Angeles based acting instructor, Gregory Berger-Sobeck - an accomplished Broadway Actor and current faculty member at The Yale School of Drama. Alex has continued to refine her natural abilities as an actor, while performing stand-up all over Southern California.
